Brandon Police Find Alleged Liquor Mart Thief Passed Out in Washroom

Brandon police found a man wanted for allegedly robbing five Liquor Marts passed out in a public washroom on Monday.

The 34-year-old was found just after 7 a.m. in a restroom in the 1100 block of 18th Street and arrested.

Police say the suspect was responsible for robbing Brandon Liquor Marts on five separate occasions between November 24 and December 14. In each robbery, the suspect acted alone and was caught on video surveillance.

The same man was already on conditions not to enter any Liquor Mart store.

He appeared in Brandon court on Monday on theft under $5,000 charges, as well as failing to comply with conditions of probation.
