WINNIPEG — Red River Co-op will begin construction this spring on a new, 35,000-square-foot food store in the south end of the city.
The store at Seasons will be the company’s ninth and is part of a 100-acre mixed-use retail and residential project featuring Outlet Collection Winnipeg.
“We are excited to bring the high-quality offerings we have at our other food stores in the city to Seasons to serve the growing communities in the area,” said Doug Wiebe, CEO of Red River Co-op.
“We will have a large selection of over 600 locally made products including fresh produce and meats, a butcher counter, bakery with scratch-made baking, health and wellness section, pharmacy and exceptional customer service that Red River Co-op is known for.”
The development is being spearheaded by Forster Harvard Development Corp.
Construction will begin this June with a planned opening for the summer of 2021.
Red River Co-op is also currently building a new food store in St. Norbert, scheduled to open this winter.
