Two teenaged girls were killed Sunday when their vehicle was struck by a semi-trailer truck in the RM of Ritchot.

Manitoba RCMP responded to the crash at the intersection of Highway 75 and Provincial Road 305 just before 1 p.m.

Police say a vehicle, being driven by a 17-year-old girl, was travelling westbound on PR 305 when it entered the intersection and was hit by a northbound semi, being driven by a 54-year-old Winnipeg man.

The teen driving the vehicle, along with her 14-year-old female passenger, both from Roseau River, were pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of the semi wasn’t injured.

RCMP continue to investigate.
