UPDATE: Friday, August 20 — On Tuesday, Norman Richard Pruden, 37, of Winnipeg, was arrested for the murder of Ifa Germosa.
Police say it’s believed the victim and the accused were unknown to each other when they got into a verbal argument inside the establishment. Germosa was followed outside, where he was seriously assaulted with a weapon.

Winnipeg police are investigating the city’s 27th homicide of the year after a man was seriously assaulted outside an establishment in the 100 block of Higgins Avenue.
Police responded to the scene Monday night and found the victim suffering from life-threatening injuries.
The man was transported to hospital in critical condition and died of his injuries on Tuesday. He has been identified as Ifa Germosa, 41, of Winnipeg.
