Manitoba RCMP located four deceased individuals in the RM of McCreary on Friday.
The first call came in at 10:10 a.m., reporting a 41-year-old man found dead from a self-inflicted injury on Road 84 West. Shortly after, officers received a call for a well-being check on a 37-year-old woman, but she was not found at her residence.
A search led to the discovery of three more bodies — a 66-year-old woman, a 65-year-old man, and a 35-year-old man — at a nearby home. The deaths are currently being investigated as homicides. By 1 p.m., the missing woman was located and taken to the hospital as a precaution.
“I want to express my condolences to the family and friends who have lost loved ones today,” said RCMP Staff Sgt. Richard Sherring.
“While we only have limited information, we know the impacts this will have on the community and felt it’s important to detail the events that we know to date.”
The RCMP has confirmed that all the individuals involved were known to each other and that the incidents are related. Authorities are not seeking any additional suspects at this time.
RCMP continue to investigate.
