Winnipeg police have charged a 26-year-old man with voyeurism following an incident at the Pan Am Pool on Saturday.
Officers were called for a report of a sexual assault involving a 10-year-old girl just before 5 p.m. The child was in a private stall in the facility’s universal change room when a man in the adjacent stall allegedly used a cellphone to take photos of her in various stages of undress.
The child’s father witnessed the incident, alerted staff, and contacted police. The suspect, identified as Colin Gauthier of Winnipeg, was arrested on-site without incident. The victim was not physically harmed.
Gauthier has been charged with voyeurism and released on a court order prohibiting contact with individuals under 16.
