Winnipeg’s rich cultural tapestry will take centre stage on January 24 as Folklorama partners with the Canadian Museum for Human Rights to host a unique celebration of dance, food, music, and storytelling.
“Collaborating with the Canadian Museum for Human Rights allows us to showcase the vibrant tapestry of cultures that enrich our community,” said Christian Hidalgo-Mazzei, director of ethno-cultural arts at Folklorama.
“This event not only celebrates diversity but also emphasizes our collective responsibility to uphold human rights and foster a more inclusive society.”
The event will feature vibrant performances from Winnipeg’s Korean, Ukrainian, and West African communities, offering attendees a dynamic glimpse into the city’s multicultural heritage. Alongside the entertainment, guests will also have the opportunity to explore the Museum’s galleries, creating a blend of cultural and educational experiences.
Doors open at 6 p.m. with performances beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $65 each and available at humanrights.ca.
