WINNIPEG — The Manitoba government is putting up $72 million to expand the Park Manor Personal Care Home in Winnipeg’s Transcona neighbourhood.
The addition will include 90 new private beds to improve senior care at the facility.
“Manitoba’s seniors built our province. They worked hard and sacrificed to make life better for their children and their grandchildren, and now it’s our turn to take care of them,” said Premier Wab Kinew. “Today’s investment is a signal to seniors and their loved ones in Transcona: more care is coming your way.”
Construction on the expansion will start this year.
“Park Manor Care has always been a place of pride for the Transcona community,” said Abednigo Mandalupa, CEO, Park Manor Personal Care Home. “Community members, management and staff, residents, and their family members have all been advocating to update our facility for years.
