A 62-year-old man was found dead Sunday morning after his boat was discovered abandoned near Willow Island, just south of Gimli.

Manitoba RCMP from the Gimli detachment responded at around 8:30 a.m. after receiving a report of the empty vessel. A wallet and cellphone were found on board, but there were no occupants.
