Canadian country music star Gord Bamford is marking his 25th anniversary tour with both music and generosity.

Performing at the Club Regent Event Centre in Winnipeg tonight, Bamford and his foundation will present a $5,000 donation to Prairie Strides, a local charity that offers adaptive horseback riding programs for children with disabilities.

“We’re so grateful for Gord Bamford and his Foundation’s support,” said Christina Dolinski, executive director of Prairie Strides, in a release.

“This donation will help us continue to provide life-changing experiences for children of all abilities, giving them the chance to grow in confidence, strength, and joy through horseback riding.”

The Gord Bamford Foundation has contributed more than $6 million to charities nationwide, focusing on health care, music education, sports, and youth programs.

Tickets to Bamford’s show — part of his Just Gettin’ Started tour — remain available through Ticketmaster.
