WINNIPEG — A man is in custody after a couple was threatened during a home invasion early Friday morning in the city’s Lavallee neighbourhood.
Police say at around 5:30 a.m., a man armed with a knife forced his way into a home on Bayfield Avenue after banging on the door. The intruder allegedly grabbed the female victim’s glasses and threatened to stab both occupants — a 48-year-old woman and a 53-year-old man.
Officers responded quickly and arrested the suspect at the scene. No injuries were reported.
Brock Glen Grant Crawford, 35, has been charged with break and enter to commit robbery, two counts of uttering threats, and possession of a weapon. He remains in custody.
