St. Boniface Hospital (FILE)
A 27-year-old man has been charged after a woman was sexually assaulted in the St. Boniface Hospital parkade late on November 8.
Police say the victim had just exited her vehicle at around 11 p.m. when an unknown man approached her and asked for the time. She was trapped between two vehicles and sexually assaulted before she screamed, prompting the suspect to flee. She reported the incident to hospital security, who alerted police. She did not require medical attention.
At about 3:30 a.m. the next morning, hospital security spotted the suspect in the parkade and detained him until officers arrived.
Ermiyas Isaac Dangerfield, 27, has been charged with sexual assault and remains in custody.
