Christmas Cheer Board

The Christmas Cheer Board is putting out an urgent call for Winnipeggers to help deliver thousands of holiday food hampers to families in need.

With Christmas just over a week away, more than 5,000 hampers remain at a warehouse awaiting delivery, and volunteers with vehicles are being asked to help ensure they reach households before Christmas.

Those willing to assist can visit the warehouse at 133 Paramount Road, located north of Inkster Boulevard and Keewatin Street. Volunteers do not need to register in advance and will be given three to five hampers to deliver per trip.

The warehouse is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and weekends from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“Any help delivering the magic of the season to Winnipeggers in need is deeply appreciated,” executive director Shawna Bell says.
