Keep your eyes (and ears) on the skies Thursday afternoon.
Federal officials say a trio of planes will conduct a flyby of 1 Canadian Air Division headquarters at about 3 p.m., which is located 17 Wing Winnipeg in St. James, dependent upon weather conditions.
A Royal Canadian Air Force CC-130H Hercules and two CF-18 Hornet fighter jets will take part to honour the end of the long service of the CC-130H in the air-to-air refuelling mission.
The aircraft will keep an altitude of no lower than 500 feet above the highest obstacle on their route, said the RCAF.

The CC-130H Hercules stopped being used as an air-to-air refuelling plane last month, but will continue to support search and rescue and transport missions, said officials.
The CF-18 Hornet is the RCAF’s frontline multi-role fighter used in air defense, air superiority and tactical support.
