A 25-year-old man died Monday after falling from the roof of an apartment building in Portage la Prairie.

Manitoba RCMP were called to the scene on 14th Street Northwest at around 10:30 a.m.

First responders provided care to the man on the ground, who fell approximately 12 to 15 feet. Police say the individual was working as a roofer at the time of the fall, but didn’t appear to have been wearing a safety harness.
