Winnipeg police have arrested an Ontario man in connection with a homicide in that province, while also uncovering a plot targeting a city business.

The investigation began May 6, 2026, when Ontario Provincial Police discovered 61-year-old Geraldine Fulcher of Calabogie, Ontario, dead on Lanark Road in the Township of Greater Madawaska. Her death was ruled a homicide.

Investigators learned the suspect had made threats to target a downtown Winnipeg business and its employees. On May 12, Winnipeg police were advised the suspect was believed to be in the city and possibly armed.

Officers located Graham Mlodozenec, 52, of Calabogie, Ontario, in the 3600 block of Portage Avenue and arrested him without incident, seizing a shotgun, ammunition, additional weapons and three jerrycans of gasoline.

Winnipeg police charged him with multiple weapons and threats offences. On June 15, he was transferred to OPP custody and charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder. He is scheduled to appear in Ontario Court in Pembroke on June 22.

Police have not released the name of the targeted business to protect employee privacy and court proceedings.
