Several schools in Thompson, Manitoba have been cleared after being placed into lockdown Tuesday over a series of threats.

Manitoba RCMP responded to six schools within the city after bomb threats were called in.

Each school was evacuated as a precaution as officers worked to clear each building.

By late Tuesday, no suspicious packages had been located and most schools reopened. However, Mystery Lake School Division and DSFM have closed schools for the remainder of the day.

“The incident continues to be investigated and no arrests have been made at this time,” RCMP said in a release.
