Some Winnipeg streets will temporarily close on Sunday for the annual WFPS Run.
Full closures will be in place from 4 a.m. to noon on:
- Shaftesbury Boulevard between Corydon Avenue and Grant Avenue (both directions)
- Roblin Boulevard between Shaftesbury Boulevard and William R Clement Parkway (both directions)
The city says traffic will be reduced to one lane on many other streets through Charleswood, St. James, and Wolseley from 4 a.m. to noon.
Drivers are being advised to expect delays and plan alternate routes if possible.
Since its inception 13 years ago, the WFPS Run has raised more than $500,000 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
