If there’s ever a better time to close a busy street, it would be the weekend.

That’s what the city is doing Friday evening for the reconstruction of the railway crossing between Arlington Street and Sinclair Street.

Inkster Boulevard will be closed to westbound and eastbound traffic beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday until 6 a.m. on Monday, July 12.

Motorists are reminded to allow additional travel time and to use alternative east/west routes, such as Mountain Avenue and Leila Avenue.
