Manitoba country rockers Doc Walker made history Tuesday night by recording the first concert in 3D ever to be produced in Canada.

The show was put on by CMT and filmed by Wealth Media 3D in Kelowna, B.C. for an upcoming broadcast/DVD/live CD taping.

According to music director (and Winnipeg native) Troy Scott at the Q 103.1, the DVD will be out sometime in October of this year. “It was epic,” Scott said of the show he emceed. “We had thousands of people show up for the free show and the guys killed.” The group is said to have even performed a Manitoba medley.

Doc Walker currently has the #1 song on CMT right now, “I’m Going to Make You Love Me,” from their current CD ‘GO.’

Besides CMT, the 3D broadcast will also air on WealthTV in the U.S.
