With September now here, the Manitoba Children’s Museum has a roster of events planned to keep kids busy on the weekends while not in class.
Every Saturday and Sunday this month, the museum will present Stories in September. Dramatic storytelling, reading-based crafts and activities with special guests to celebrate literacy will be featured.
Storytellers will perform on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Regular museum admission applies.
On September 12, the museum will begin Mini Mondays, where every Monday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., crafts and activities for the museum’s youngest visitors will be offered.
Finally, on September 28, the museum will present the Great Friend to Kids Awards. The second annual event will honour local individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to enriching lives of children. The awards ceremony begins at 11 a.m.
The Manitoba Children’s Museum will be closed from Tuesday, September 6 to Friday, September 9 for cleaning and maintenance.
