‘Big Brother Canada’ Opens National Casting Today

August 1, 2012 8:48 AM | Entertainment

Perspective Winnipeg contestants for the upcoming spinoff reality TV show “Big Brother Canada” will have to apply online.

Producers of the show, which takes after the popular U.S. version currently in its 14th season, will be holding in-person casting calls this fall in Vancouver, Calgary, Halifax, Montreal, and Toronto. A national casting call for residents living outside of those areas begins today at BigBrotherCanada.ca.

Applicants can submit a short video telling why they should be chosen to live in the “Big Brother Canada” house. Those who attend an in-person casting call can also submit a video.

The show, which sees contestants live under one roof while being monitored 24/7 by wall-to-wall cameras and microphones, will air on the Slice network this winter. It’s being produced by Insight Productions in partnership with Shaw Media and Endemol.
