Advocates of the Sherbrook Pool will be spending Valentine’s Day coming up with ways to reopen their beloved facility.

The Spence Neighbourhood Association and Friends of Sherbrook Pool are holding a community meeting at 6 p.m. at the Magnus Eliason Recreation Centre on Langside Street. They say the meeting is a chance for users of the pool and community residents to discuss its closure, share information and ideas for the pool, and what is necessary in making sure it eventually reopens.

The pool was closed abruptly on November 29, 2012, which the city later said was due to structural concerns.

Organizers expect about 100 people at tonight’s event.
