The Winnipeg Goldeyes have signed outfielder Adam Heisler for the 2015 season.
The 26-year-old Mobile, Alabama product played the last four seasons in the Chicago White Sox organization. He missed most of last season with a back injury, but did hit .275 with two home runs and nine RBI in 42 games between Class A Advanced Winston-Salem of the Carolina League and Class AA Birmingham of the Southern League.
“He’s a very good versatile outfielder and a solid defender that doesn’t make a lot of mistakes with the baseball,” manager Rick Forney said. “He has a lot of speed offensively and can spray the ball around the field. He definitely has the ability to be a top of the order type hitter.”
The Goldeyes now have seven players signed for the 2015 season, including four pitchers and three position players.
