Winnipeg Police Pull Man from Burning Vehicle

Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police officers were able to pull a man safely from a burning vehicle on Tuesday night.

Officers were flagged down by people in the area of Grant Avenue near Kenaston Boulevard at around 11:45 p.m. for a report of a large amount of smoke coming from near a condominium block.

Police found a vehicle fully engulfed in flames, which had spread to the wall of the building. The 65-year-old driver was pulled from the vehicle and taken to hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.

No injuries were reported.

Damage to the property and vehicle are estimated at $95,000.
