Shoppers looking for that next piece of Swedish furniture to add to their home can now use PayPal while checking out from the IKEA Canada website.

The two companies have teamed up in an effort to offer consumers another secure option of payment.

“By adding PayPal, we are further simplifying our online checkout and making IKEA more accessible to the many Canadians,” said Stefan Sjöstrand, president of IKEA Canada.

PayPal transactions are handled similarly to using your credit card, but users can also use their online balances, bank accounts, Visa debit cards or a traditional credit card linked to their PayPal account.

The online payment processor has approximately 6.4 million active user accounts in Canada.
