A man from Sioux Valley First Nation is in police custody after allegedly firing a rifle at a home in the community.
Police were called just after 10:30 a.m. on November 19 and soon spotted the man walking with the gun.
He raised the rifle at officers, who were within 300 metres of him, but no shots were fired.
The man retreated to his home and remained there until around 4:20 p.m. when he came out unarmed and was taken into custody. Virden RCMP had the home surrounded, along with the RCMP emergency response team and police dog service.
