Police Seize $26K Worth of Meth from South Winnipeg Apartment

Winnipeg Police CrestOne man is in police custody after $26,0000 worth of methamphetamine was seized from an apartment block in south Winnipeg.

Police responded Thursday to a report of a man being threatened in the 3300 block of Pembina Highway. They arrived to find two men in the suite, along with the drugs and a loaded shotgun.

Mario Trunzo, 50, has been charged with uttering threats, numerous firearms offences, possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.

Trunzo remains in custody.

Another man in his 50s faces similar charges and was released on a promise to appear.
