WINNIPEG — Entry fees are being waived to visit Manitoba’s parks in February.

Vehicle permits won’t be required to enter any provincial park, but SnoPasses for snowmobilers are still required to use groomed trailers in the parks. Entrance fees to national parks also still apply.

Anglers will also get a break this month during Winter Family Fishing Weekend, February 17-19. Anglers can fish without a licence province-wide. Conservation limits will remain in effect and a federal licence will still be required to fish in national parks.

“Manitobans love the great outdoors and our parks are just as beautiful at this time of year as they are in the warmer months,” Sustainable Development Minister Rochelle Squires said in a release.

“We encourage everyone to take advantage of the activities and the scenery our parks have to offer.”
