Man Dies from Injuries After Assault in Berens River

A 53-year-old man from Berens River, Manitoba passed away on Saturday following an assault the week prior.

RCMP say the victim was found by community members lying on the road September 16. He was taken to the local nursing station with life-threatening injuries and eventually transported to Winnipeg, where he was hospitalized in critical condition.

The victim succumbed to his injuries on September 22.
