WINNIPEG — A sure sign of the holiday season is seeing the Angel Squad on your morning commute in front of the Misericordia Health Centre on Sherbrook Street.

Beginning Monday morning, the Angel Squad is back, donning their full-length angel gowns and ready to collect commuter donations for the Misericordia Health Centre Foundation.

Angels will be out between 7:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. on December 3 and Tuesday, December 4. Angels include MHC current and former staff and volunteers, families, students from neighbouring schools, dignitaries, and others supports of MHC.

The donation drive has been running for 23 years and collects funds to help Misericordia deliver the latest in ambulatory care, eye care, treatment for chronic conditions and a continuum of care options for older adults.

Those who donate in the drive-thru will receive a Starbucks coffee or hot chocolate. On Tuesday only, angels will also be at Starbucks at 360 Main.

Donations can also be made over the phone by calling (204) 788-8458 or online at misericordiafoundation.com. Donations of $10 and more are eligible for a tax receipt.
