Manitoba RCMP arrested three people last week after a significant robbery at a home in the RM of Rosser.

Police say they responded to a break and enter on February 8 just after 1:30 p.m. A black pickup truck was seen leaving the area and officers from Stonewall, Selkirk and Headingley all attended.

One officer spotted the suspect vehicle travelling east on Highway 321 and turned around to investigate. Police say that’s when the truck sped up and eventually slid off the road at the intersection of Highway 326 and Provincial Road 70 North.

The three suspects ditch the truck, which was stolen and had stolen licence plates, and began running through snowy fields. A woman was arrested a short distance away, while two men continued to run. Officers were eventually able to take them into custody.

Benjamin Abbott, 29, William Meade, 25, and Melanie Rudolf, 29, all of Winnipeg, were arrested and charged.

Police say a significant amount of stolen property was recovered from the truck.

RCMP continue to investigate.
