Three Men Charged in Christmas Day Homicide

Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police have made an arrest in a Christmas Day homicide that sent a man to hospital in critical condition.

Tyler Evan Smoke, 26, later died in hospital from his upper body injuries suffered in the 400 block of Victor Street just after 7 a.m.

Two men were arrested February 27 following an investigation by Winnipeg police. A third man was arrested on February 28.

David Joseph Merasty, 25, Keenan Alexander Tom, 25, and Michael Anthony Caribou, 28, have all been charged with second-degree murder.

All three men remain in custody.
