The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have parted ways with quarterback Chris Streveler so he can pursue NFL opportunities.
Streveler, 25, was set to become a free agent on February 11.
The Illinois native finished the 2019 CFL season with 1,564 yards and eight touchdown passes while completing 66 percent of his passes. Rushing the ball, he had 127 carries for 726 yards and 12 majors.
Streveler signed with the Blue Bombers in 2018 and served as the backup to Matt Nichols to open the 2019 season.
