Manitoba RCMP are investigating a fire that destroyed the Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation fire hall on Thursday.
Officers with the Nelson House detachment noticed smoking from the direction of the building at around 5:30 p.m. and immediately responded.
The fire department was on scene extinguishing the fire, which doesn’t appear to be suspicious, according to police.
RCMP and the Office of the Fire Commissioner continue to investigate.
