Police Raid River Heights Home After Neighbours Suspect Drug Trafficking

Winnipeg Police Logo CrestWinnipeg police say concerned citizens in River Heights tipped them off to potential drug trafficking occurring at a residence in the 1700 block of Corydon Avenue.

Police executed a search warrant at the home on Tuesday, while also pulling over a vehicle associated with the address nearby.

Officers seized 28 grams of cocaine worth an estimated $3,000, approximately $8,000 in cash, as well as drug paraphernalia and cell phones.

Rene Orlando Barrios-Lopez, 43, of Winnipeg has been charged with multiple drug offences and remains in custody.
