WINNIPEG — Manitoba Music is gearing up for an exciting fall with a series of export events showcasing top local talent in key markets across the globe.
The organization is facilitating opportunities for Manitoba artists to connect with influential industry contacts through performances at prestigious festivals in Germany, the U.S., and Canada.
The export initiative aims to expand Manitoba’s presence in international music markets. Notable upcoming events include performances at Germany’s Reeperbahn Festival and Nashville’s AmericanaFest.
“Career-defining opportunities for showcasing talent to industry leaders and engaging in business-to-business networking play a vital role in an artist’s long-term career growth,” said Manitoba Music’s executive director Vanessa Kuzina, in a release.
“We’re thrilled to support these creative entrepreneurs as they continue to build strong connections on the national and international stage and solidify Manitoba’s place as an extraordinary music hub.”
Several Manitoba artists, including Ila Barker, Slow Spirit, Super Duty Tough Work, and Desiree Dorion, will perform at Canada House in Hamburg and Nashville. Additional artists will perform in Winnipeg and Saskatoon during BreakOut West.
