Winnipeg will be the host city for BreakOut West 2025, Western Canada’s largest music industry event, scheduled for September 24-28.
The five-day event will feature a three-day festival, a conference, and the Western Canadian Music Awards, showcasing top Canadian talent across various venues.
“We’re very excited to host BreakOut West in Manitoba again,” said Lynne Skromeda, CEO and film commissioner at Manitoba Film & Music.
“Not only is BreakOut West a preeminent platform for Western Canadian artists—including an amazing number of Manitobans—it lets local musicians and the music industry celebrate success in their hometown.”
Manitoba previously hosted the event in 2006 and 2014 before holding a virtual edition in 2020.
The event is expected to generate an economic impact of $1.1 million. Details of the festival venues will be announced soon.
