Winnipeg police arrested a man Monday evening following a disturbance at a fast food restaurant in the 200 block of Osborne Street.
Officers responded around 8:10 p.m. after reports of an aggressive individual demanding food and damaging property inside the restaurant. Staff said the man pulled down plexiglass barriers and attempted to access a back office, prompting them to call police.
Police arrived to find the man behaving erratically and used a Taser to help take him into custody. He was allegedly found in possession of bear spray, a pellet gun, and approximately 16 grams of cocaine.
No injuries to staff or customers were reported. The suspect was medically assessed at the scene.
Ivan Joseph Nordal, 26, of Winnipeg, faces multiple charges including possession of a weapon, drug possession, and mischief. He remains in custody.
