A months-long investigation into drug and firearms trafficking across Manitoba has led to the seizure of 30 guns and $60,000 worth of cocaine and opioids, along with five arrests.
Launched in November 2024, “Project Quarry” was a joint operation involving Winnipeg police, the Manitoba RCMP, and other law enforcement partners. Between March 17–19, 2025, officers executed search warrants at properties in Winnipeg, Stonewall, and Rockwood, resulting in the discovery of handguns, rifles, shotguns, silencers, and firearm conversion devices. Some of the weapons had been stolen or smuggled into Canada.
Five people were arrested and face a combined 53 charges related to drug and firearms.
In addition to drugs and weapons, police also seized cash, packaging materials, and trafficking tools. The investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Winnipeg police at (204) 986-7003, Stonewall RCMP at (204) 467-5015, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at (204) 786-TIPS.
