The body of a missing 29-year-old Norwegian hiker was discovered Sunday morning near the Hayes River, Manitoba RCMP confirmed.

At around 10:20 a.m., a helicopter pilot assisting search crews spotted the body west of the river, not far from where the man’s jacket was found Friday. Gillam RCMP, Parks Canada, and community searchers from Fort Severn recovered the body on shore.
