Three Winnipeg radio stations began broadcasting live from St. Vital Centre this morning as part of the 30th Annual Christmas Miracle Toy and Cash Drive.
Until Saturday evening, 99.9 BOB FM, TSN Radio 1290 and FAB 94.3 will be collecting donations for the Christmas Cheer Board to help hundreds of families have a joyful Christmas this year.
“As the holiday season approaches, we here at Bell Media are reminded of the generosity of Winnipeggers who continue to support the Christmas Cheer Board through the Christmas Miracle, now in its 30th year,” said Mark Maheu, GM and VP of Bell Media Radio Winnipeg. “We look forward to seeing old and new faces engage in the spirit of giving this season to ensure Christmas happens for everyone.”
Over the past three decades, more than $725,000 and 55,000 toys have been collected through the initiative.
The stations will broadcast live from the Food Hall until 9 p.m. tonight, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.
