A 32-year-old Portage la Prairie man is facing numerous drugs and weapons charges after RCMP searched a home in the southern Manitoba community last week.
Police execucuted a search warrant in the 600 block of 1st Street NW in Portage on August 8, where they found a quarter ounce of cocaine, 11 grams of marijuana as well as various related drug paraphernalia, seven firearms, ammunition and brass knuckles.
Jason Dean Asham was arrested and released on a promise to appear in court earlier today.
A 47-year-old Portage la Prairie man was arrested during the search and released on a promise to appear in Portage court on October 7. He alsos faces drugs and weapons-related charges.
