Winnipeg police are trying to locate a female suspect in an armed robbery at a gas bar in the 700 block of Watt Street.
The robbery occurred Friday afternoon when the suspect confronted the 20-year-old man behind the counter. She demanded cash, cigarettes and other merchandise being fleeing.
The woman is described as aboriginal in appearance, 40-years-old, 5’1″ tall with a slim build and dark hair, possibly reddish in colour.
The clerk wasn’t injured during the robbery.

UPDATE: Sunday, May 11 — Stacey Waldner, 35, of Winnipeg has been charged with three counts of robbery. Police say Waldner returned to the same gas bar on Saturday morning wearing a disguise. The same clerk who was working on Friday afternoon locked the store and the suspect was unable to gain entry. Waldner then allegedly robbed a gas bar in the 1400 block of Henderson Highway and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police located her in the area of Grey Street and Talbot Avenue at around 8 a.m. Waldner remains in custody and also faces charges of disguise with intent, uttering threats, and failing to complly with a probation order.
