Winnipeg police are hoping a surveillance image leads to the arrest of a man wanted for sexual assaulting a woman in the spring.
A 47-year-old woman met a man in the area of the 600 block of Westminster Avenue on May 7 at around 2 p.m. The two began talking when the suspect offered the woman a cigarette. They went to the woman’s residence and consumed non-alcoholic beverages, say police.
The woman was inappropriately touched, which then escalated to a serious sexual assault.
Police were notified and launched an investigation but have been unable to identify the man.
He is described as Caucasian, 34-years-old, 5’10”-5’11” tall, 175 lbs., scruffy facial hair and a tattoo on the back of his neck (bars or numbers).
