A Flin Flon man has been arrested and charged after RCMP came across drugs, weapons and other material in his possession.

The 67-year-old was in a parking lot on January 13 when officers stopped to speak with him and another man. During their conversation, police noticed a can of bear mace partially hidden inside one man’s jacket.

The suspect was arrested for carrying the mace and triggered a further search by RCMP. Officers looked inside the man’s truck and found approximately 32 grams of cocaine, a can of bear mace, a large capacity .22 rifle magazine, cash, and drug paraphernalia.

Jeffery Giest has been charged with multiple offences, including three counts of failing to comply with conditions.
