WINNIPEG — Northbound Smith Street from Ellice Avenue to Notre Dame Avenue will temporarily close beginning on Friday.
The city says the closure will take effect at 9 a.m. and run until Sunday, August 22 at 11:59 p.m. for The Burt Block Parties.
Friday’s lineup will be headlined by eight-time Juno nominee alt-rockers 54.40, with Canadian Music Hall of Famer Jim Cuddy Band and double-platinum artists The Northern Pikes rounding out the night.
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes during the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
