Investigators allege the truck was speeding southbound when the driver veered onto the shoulder and hit the victims before fleeing. Officers arrested the driver, 46-year-old Kuldeep Singh Gill, a short time later and say he showed signs of impairment.

Gill has been charged with multiple counts of impaired driving causing death, dangerous operation causing death, and failing to remain at the scene. He remains in custody.

A bicycle was located nearby and police are still investigating the lead-up to the collision. Anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
