Winnipeg police have arrested a man after a bank was robbed in the 1000 block of Corydon Avenue on Monday evening.

Just after 6:30 p.m., police say a man attended to the front counter of a financial institution, passed a note to the teller, and fled in a vehicle after receiving an undisclosed amount of money.

No weapon was used and no injuries were reported during the robbery.

Officers located the getaway vehicle the following day in a parking lot in the 1100 block of Grant Avenue. That discovery led police to a residence in the South River Heights area, there they arrested 29-year-old Lee Joseph Robinson.

He has been charged with robbery and remains in custody.
