A flight simulation experience will raise funds for the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba this week.
The 176 Boeing of the Canada Royal Canadian Air Cadet squadron will be holding their sixth annual Flight for Life at Kildonan Place Shopping Centre February 22-24.
The public can take part in the three-day fundraiser by stepping into the “Dream Flyer” simulator as cadets take a mock flight from St. John’s, Newfoundland to Victoria, British Columbia. The goal of the project is to collect one dollar for every mile flown.
Simulations will be available from Friday, February 22 from 4 to 9 p.m., Saturday, February 23 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, February 24 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Close to $15,000 has been raised in the province since the event’s inception.
